How do you get hurt in your sleep? You roll off that bed, that's how!
Yes, my poor lil Landen had quite the day yesterday. He was cranky at daycare all day, then while still at daycare he and another kid collided and he has a bruise and a bump under his eye. We get home, all he wants to do is play outside, and he kept trying to walk to the park behind our house all by himself, but when he'd turn around to see if we were coming he'd stop and whine a little.
At about 7p, we went inside to eat supper and I set him in his highchair. I get his plate ready, and turn around to find him sitting straight up but his lil head bobbing back and fourth, with his eyes closed! Poor guy was so tired that he wouldn't wake up to eat dinner.
Trav and I layed him in our bed so I could change his diaper while he slept and then I let him lay there, we were planning on putting him in his crib a little later on.
I was downstairs on the computer editing photos, and Trav was upstairs in the living room watching a movie and all of a sudden I heard this really loud thud, followed quickly by a cry, and then I heard Trav run to the room. I was coming up the stairs and before I even saw Landen's face Trav said" Kimmie... get some Kleenex's he's bleeding!" I went into instant panic mode for some reason, I bumped into the kitchen table and I lost my train of thought for a few seconds, it was so strange.
Well, as soon as I saw his little face I got a lil teary eyed (I didn't cry though), there was blood all over his face, his hands, his shirt had blood on it (the new gap shirt "gamma" just bought him).
I wiped his nose and it stopped pretty quickly. We checked his mouth, and nothing was cut or anything in there so we were relieved.
Basically he rolled off face first off our bed (about 2 feet) and landed flat on his lil nose. He wouldn't let me clean it off last night so I bathed him this morning and he was still having a really hard time letting me wipe up the dried blood but I got most of it. I got a few pics last night so I will try to post them, my poor guy.

Gheesh!
Again, neglecting my blog and not doing it on purpose. I just have been busy at work (like always) and when I get home there's not much time for anything so the time I do have is spent with my Lando! Hope you all are doing well and staying cool where ever you may be, it's supposed to around 100* today, gross. I will try to have more exciting news and pictures up soon, but I'm still checking all of yours!

Just when I thought my day couldn't get any worse...

Seriously, who does this happen to?Only me...only me.This is not a pictue of my car and it certainly was not this bad, not even close but still. I just got my insurance to go DOWN, and I got a ticket so now it's going to go back up, can 6-21-07 please be over already? Not to mention there were three older (not quite elderly but on the verge of being) ladies just belittleing me, adding complete injury to insult and no one was hurt, I ASKED!

Oh Landen....
So, Landen is almost 19 months, (tomorrow to be exact) and his 18 month period seemed to be quite a challenge for all of us. Let me just say this first, i love my son with ALL my heart and soul, and I would die for him, as any mother should do however he has been quite the whiny/crabby kid, especially these last 5 days. Sunday night he was so overly tired that he was screaming and crying for over 30 minutes, I had no idea what was wrong, there wasn't one thing I could do to make him feel better, and I yelled at him ( I know I feel super bad about that). We took him outside that night and put him in his swing and within 10 minutes he was sleeping. Trav layed him in his crib and I felt so bad for yelling at him I picked my baby out of his crib, layed him in my bed next to me and I just started balling. I actually cried myself to sleep.
That morning at 4AM he woke up screaming doing the same thing, nothing could soothe this kid, we gave him some Motrin and after a few minutes he was content with some milk and sat in my lap on the couch and fell back asleep. That day (Monday) he had a great day at daycare. Tuesday was good, Wednesday was good but this morning, man oh man.
After his bath he was acting like he was all done and wanted to get out of the tub, as soon as I grabbed him he started kicking and screaming and throwing the biggest fit EVER! I am so tired of these tantrums (I know...I know... they are just beginning and not over yet) so I take him in his room to get him dressed and he is still screaming/crying, and at this point I'm pretty sure he wants his NUK but I don't want to give it to him b/c he doesn't really need it.
So I force him to lay down so I can put his diaper on, still kicking, screaming, and crying and trying to get away from me. I am HOLDING him down. He is so out of control at this point that his body is arched and I am so incredibly irritated that I grab his thighs and flip him back over and try to keep him there, of course I had to use a little force (not enough to hurt him) to get him to lay there, and of course it scared him, so his crying turned into him trying to catch his breathe.
I feel like THEE WORST MOMMY, without a doubt. After I pick him up, give into his crying and get him his nuk, we cuddle on the couch, he's crying, I'm crying and I feel like I just am not good at what I am doing. The worst feeling is knowing that I frightened my child, and those were absolutely not my intentions. Urgh.... I just hate seeing him act like that and I hope that it gets better soon and that he still loves me.

Seems like forever
Wow, it seems like I haven't been on here forever, but I have been so busy at work. We have a busy weekend. Tonight we are going out to Lake Neshonac to have a campfire and eat at a fish fry with friends of the family and Trav's parents. Then Saturday, Landen and I are going to go back out to Neshonac for a few hours and do a little swimming before my sister Katie and my nephew come to get him so he can spend the night at their house while Trav and I go to a wedding. Then, Sunday we will go to my sisters and stay there for the afternoon b/c she is having a Father's Day grill out, so that should be fun, and the is my weekend in a nutshell!

Did you baby have any medical issues?
It was so wonderful and super scary at the same time. I couldn't believe the nurses/doctors were letting us leave to start taking care of him on our own. I was nervous, yet excited, a little worried but honored.
Fortunately Landen was born healthy, with no medical problems. He was a very spitty baby, he had reflux pretty bad but that was about it.

Saturday afternoon
We had so much fun Saturday afternoon. It was so nice outside, about 80* or so. We decided to blow up Landen's little pool and fill it up with some warm water. Kyla came over for a little bit in the afternoon, then Jenissa and her two girls came over. We had a nice relaxing weekend, no running around, it was wonderful, just doin' our thing!

So excited

I am so excited. I just found the flash I need for my SLR on eBay! (insert excited giggling here) They are normally quite pricey, however I found a company that get their products from the Olympus Company they sold it in a package including a bag (which I don't really need b/c I already have one), a tripod, a free years subscription to a Photography magazine.
Yeah I am so excited and can't wait to get it and try it out!

Quote ideas?
I know this should be something I do all on my own but with work and everything I am finding it very hard to find a quote to use for the photography that I am going to be doing on the side. Any suggestions or idears anyone?
