This boy has my heart.

We had such a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. We rented a camper and camped at our favorite spot.
We were surrounded by wonderful company and great food as well. I am headed to Eau Claire bright an early tomorrow morning to start the training for my new job!
I will be gone overnight and will be back later Wed. night so I will try to post more pictures then.

I hope you all enjoyed your nice extended weekend and hope to catch up with you all soon!

Terbutaline.......

Has anyone heard of Terbutaline? My friend is about 33 weeks pregnant and she lives in another town. She has been prescribed Terbutaline to stop her pre-term labor b/c she has gone into labor two times .

We have done some research on it and it has been known to cause birth defects such as:
  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Speech Problems
  • Brain damage
  • and there are other things that could happen

Does anyone know ANYTHING about this drug? They have prescribed this to her and and they have had her on this for two weeks straight.

Those eyes....

MELT MY HEART.
*** On another note I have been trying to stick to watching how many calories I take in on a daily basis, because I am noticing that I am gaining more and more weight. So I thought well, I don't work out..... (which I should get this fat rear-end on a exercise routine of some sort) and I don't eat the best.
However, today I went to pick up a couple things at the Peoples' Food Co-op. I grabbed The Da Vinci II on Sourdough (a sandwich with roasted garlic turkey, provolone cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce and Italian dressing), super yummy. I also saw they had my favorite, WHITE BEAN SALAD, oooh it's so delish!
I bought a POUND, not a half, a WHOLE FRICKEN' POUND!!! It has : white beans, bay leaf, red and green bell peppers, scallions, peas, garlic, salt, tamari, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, red wine vinegar, olive oil, and pepper. It's soooooooooooooooooo good. I can't help myself when they have it in the deli case.
The problem: I ate the WHOLE FRICKEN' POUND & 1/2 the sandwich! Let me just get down on all fours, roll around in some mud and make some noises through my nose for you, and that is what I look like, and AM.
I wish I knew the calories in there, b/c then maybe I wouldn't feel so guilty.... maybe.
That's doubtful, I would still feel guilty. damn.

It's all good......in my hood

I am startin' to slip a little in the blogging world, and I don't like it.

It has been a crazy couple of weeks and it's not about to settle down anytime soon. When I say crazy, I don't mean anything in a bad way, I just mean there have been things going on that keep our lives very active.

I have been offered a new job in a jewelry store as the Store Office Manager and am pretty excited about that. I gave my 2 weeks to my current employer today and am still awaiting a response from them. I gave it 3 hours ago and still no word.

It was my sisters' 27th birthday on Saturday , so we celebrated by going out to dinner and then hitting up one of her hubby's favorites bars and singing Karaoke all night, we all had a blast. So much fun.

Friday and Saturday we had a rummage sale at my sisters; house and I made out all right, so in a couple weeks, we are going to give it a go at my house with the stuff we didn't sell.

Yesterday was a great Mothers Day. For Mothers Day I received a Macro/Fish eye Lens, The biggest Mothers Day card I have ever seen in my life, and lots of hugs and kisses (my fave. of all)/ We had lunch with T's parents, brother and his girlfriend, and dinner with my mom, sister, her hubby and my nephew. It was a fabulous day, the boys climbed a tree and ran around in my mom's yard as if they were pumped full of energy.

I hope you all had a beautiful Mothers' Day and was able to spend it with your children and the people who mean the most to you, I know I did!

Still fighting this..

In case any of are wonder, YES I am still fighting the bedtime ritual we once/still have.
I am trying to be strong and work on it but some nights when I get home from working all day long, I do not have the strength to fight it.

Like last night for instance. I layed my babe to sleep, told him how much I loved him, hugged and kissed him and told him to sleep well. As soon as I left the room he started crying, "I want my mommy, I want mommy" so on and so forth. After 10 minutes (in which seemed more like 45 minutes) I asked T if he could see Landen standing in his doorway, he replied no. A few minutes later, I asked if he was out of bed b/c it sounded like he had gotten out of bed and came closer (mind you T was lying on the couch where we can see into Lands' room), he looked a little bit and sort of laughed and said, "Yeah, he's not in his bed. He is standing where I can't see him but he keeps poking his head around the corner" more laughing occurs after that.

I get up and go into Landen's room, and there he is off to the right, standing in the dark, holding his forever beloved "mi-mi" and crying so hard snot is pouring out of his nose. Do I feel bad at this point? Hell yes I feel bad.....

I give him a great big hug, tell him I love him and ask him kindly to get back into bed, and he does. I sat on the side of his bed, not saying a word, there was no back rubbing, no talking, no leg rubbing, etc. And out he was..... my sweet baby boy.

Did I fail the bedtime routine? Maybe. Do I care? Hell no.
