No more "Nuh"

My lil man has been such a trooper the past couple of days. On Saturday night he slept over at his cousin Spence's house and had a blast. At night time Landen will usually ask for his "Nuh" (nuk) and his "mi-mi" ( his blanket) and we get it for him. The other night Trav said to him " Now bud, you better get ready to get rid of this soon, you aren't going to need it after you are two anymore, big boys don't use Nuks" and Landen shook his head and said "yep" like he TOTALLY understood what Trav was saying, and maybe he did, but I found it hard to believe that he agreed that he'd give that up so easily. Well like I said he stayed over at my sisters house on Saturday night and Landen misplaced his Nuk. They all searched high and low for it but he went to bed without it. He didn't ask for it when he woke up either. So we got home from picking him up on Sunday he asked for it a couple of times throughout the day yesterday but I told him we lost it and big boys don't use nuks anymore, so then he'd go on to doing something else.
Well last night was the real test, not just for him but for both Trav and I as well. We all did so great, and Landen especially! He asked for it once and I told him the same thing as I did earlier in the day and I layed him in his bed, rubbed his back for a lil bit and he was out!
YAH!!!!!! Mommy and Daddy are SO PROUD of you Landen! You are a big boy now!

That is great! It took Avery much longer to get rid of hers! Now his teeth will begin to look much different!

YEAH - that's awesome!!! I hear those are hard to give up - At least that's what the parents of the FOUR year olds with pacis in their mouth say! Annie never had one (although sometimes I wish she had)
