March 11th I'm driving to the cities to stay with our good friend Mark and I will be boarding a plane the 12th and heading to Colorado to visit my good friends' The Bishops'.
I was originally going to take lil tornado with me but since he is two now I have to pay full price for a seat for him and that's about $300 smackers, which to me (just my personal opinion) is OBSURD!
I wish that I could say that he was under two and just have him sit on my lap, because it's only an hour flight. With only an hour flight I bet you I don't even get a pack of airline peanuts!
So he and his daddy will have lots of bonding time. They will play, color, run errands, visit grandma and all sorts of fun daddy-son things!
I am going to miss them both dearly, however I will miss Landen SO much. I have never been away from him more than a day so it will be hard, but it will be a nice little vacation for mommy as well.
I will be taking my SLR with because where they live (Colorado Springs) is gorgeous, you can see the mountains right off their front patio, I know this because I have seen pics.
So... with that said, "I'm going to be flying by myself for the first time ever and it will be great!"

Hey! I got your comment...but now that I read this, I'm confused...will you be spending time in the Cities before this trip to Colorado? Or are you talking about coming up here the next month? Sorry I got a little lost...
I am coming to the cities on 3-11 after work for the night, then I need to find a ride to the airport to head to CO on the 12th. I Will be back in the cities on the 16th at about 1130 if you guys want to meet up for lunch or something!
How fun Kim! That will be such a fun time for you! Refreshing, to say the least! Their little girl is a doll! :)
That sounds wonderful...yes, it is nice for Mommy to "get away" sometimes - especially visiting friends!!! How fun! :-)
You are going to LOVE it! a plane ride is soooo much faster and easier alone!
